20th November 2017. This blog is about my general musical interests and what I come across on my travels. You will find guitars, unusual and antique keyboards and I have a big interest in World Music; in particular Indian classical.
Surbahar (or bass sitar) Purchased from Hobgoblin Music, London, June 2016. Unrestored. This instrument has now been put into playing order. There has never been a makers name, so I have no idea who made it.

Pete Turner Resonator Guitar
Terry is having a handmade guitar built by Kent guitar maker Pete Turner.
I spent several hours at Timberland, Tonbridge, Kent selecting wood for the guitar. Finally settled on Koa wood for the body and ebony for the fingerboard.
Photos show the wood chosen, machine for bending wood to guitar shape, back of the guitar and work in progress on workbench.
More details to follow once there is more progress to report.
